Imagine tumbling down the rabbit hole in Wonderland and landing smack in the middle of a David Lynch movie set. In a nutshell, this was my experience at the Chanel Mobile Art Exhibition.
Unlike many conventional art exhibits, this interactive audio-guided tour takes you through a journey of the senses and leaves you somewhat bewildered with what just took place. The artist-presently-known-as-Mac is renowned for his graffiti murals across the globe. The piece below demonstrates his unique flair for creating actual photo negative images that only appears normal after you snap a pic and invert the colour treatment.

Introducing Plant This Letter, a direct mailer printed on specially made paper containing seeds that literally grow when planted. All the elements were Al Gore-friendly; only soy inks were used and both the paper and envelope were 100% recycled and acid-free. Recipients were encouraged to toss the mailer in their garden and, with a little TLC, watch it sprout. In effect, their trash became a means to remove carbon from the atmosphere.

German artist Julius Popp is known for integrating elements of design and technology in his works of art. For his Bit.fall exhibition, Popp utilizes a device with computer-regulated valves suspended from the ceiling; droplets of water are released at specific time intervals to create preset formations. The result is a cascade of words and images that magically rain down and disappear upon impact with the ground.
